Annalisa has been an embedded consultant in our team since May 2020 and has been absolutely pivotal to our progress in four key areas:

  • she deftly led on designing and implementing thoughtful participatory processes as part of our strategy rethink; these opened up our network to more empowered, effective and TEAL ways of working;

  • she advised and supported us in reshaping our network ‘hub’ team correspondingly;

  • she accompanied, advised and supported us on a complex organisational redesign and restructuring that ensued from our strategy, and the change processes flowing from this;

  • she fulfilled an important interim advisory role concerning our international programming while these changes were being put in place; this involved connecting initiatives and actions at the level of our countries of operation with the knowledge, expertise, leadership and power of key senior staff at the HQs of our member organisations.

Annalisa combines strong knowledge and experience of our sector, with her deep study of organisational development and dynamics, and her sincere interest in people and how their flourishing and the flourishing of their organisations can best combine. Creative, with a precise attention to detail, she helped us to learn and grow; challenging but never un-constructive, she has also brought us together as a more effective team with her expertise, but also with her positive and characterful charm.

I had the opportunity to work with Annalisa as an executive coach in Spring and Summer 2022. It was clear from our initial meeting that Annalisa was highly experienced and an excellent and patient listener that was incredibly thoughtful and considered in her suggestions. I benefitted hugely from working with her.

The psychodynamic coaching approach we followed was very different to coaching I’d had before, but it proved ideal for exploring and understanding complex issues. In my opinion, this type of coaching can only be fully effective when working with somebody you trust, and Annalisa did a wonderful job of building and respecting that trust. Annalisa supported the CEWEP team in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the Waste Incineration BAT workshop that we organised for our members on 28-29 November 2019 in Brussels. It was the first time that we used the World Café format to boost members’ active participation and ability to learn from each other. We are impressed by the results and grateful that Annalisa introduced us to this method. Her soft but determined guidance made the workshop a great success and created a good learning level for participants and the CEWEP team, all in a very pleasant atmosphere. The evaluation after the workshop gave us a fruitful second-loop learning curve. Annalisa is hard on the structure and gentle on the people. An effective mixture! It was and is a great pleasure to work with Annalisa.
